Olkhon
Olkhon island is a focus of everything
that is typical for the Lake Baikal. The island is suitable both
for leisure and outdoor activities - in summer it is usually sunny,
and the water in Little sea (strait between the island and mainland)
is warmer then anywhere else in the lake. Wonderful sand beaches
make Olkhon island a popuar destination for tourists. If you do
not feel like this "passive" pastime, you can make a
canoe trip or go hiking or horse riding to its south rocky coast
which is more wild and difficult to access.

Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival in Irkutsk.
Transfer to Listvianka village (70 km). Chech-in in cottage. Guided
excursion to Lake Baikal museum. Guided hiking to scenery spot
– Cherskogo peak. Overnight in the cottage.
Day 2. Motor boat trip
to Chernaya valley, guded trekking to old gold mines. Banya. Overnight
on the board of motor boat.
Day 3. Motor boat trip
to Olkhon Island. Arrive to Huzhir village on the island and transfer
to ger camping. Accommodation in the camp. Dinner. Overnight in
the camp.
Day 4. Day of rest. Optionally hiking, car trip,
canoeing, horse riding, banya. Overnight in the camp.
Day 5. Breakfast. Guided
trip to Shara Nour lake (salt lake in the center of the island),
picnic. Return to the camp. Overnight in the camp.
Day 6. Breakfast. Transfer
to ferry and by ferry to mainland, transfer by car to Irkutsk.
Check-in in the hotel, sightseeing. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 7. Transfer to the
airport.
