Land cost: $1340 per person in
a group of 6 members.
Cost of the heliflight to the valley of geysers is a subject
to change without a previous notice and for the summer 2004
is expected to be $550 per person.
Price includes: all overland transfers, 2 nights
in hotel "Petropavlovsk" (room share), 4 nights in tents,
2 nights in a resort "Helios", 2 night in a resort near
Timonovskiye Hot Springs, service of local guides on the
trek, kitchen crew, national park fee, restricted area permit,
all the meals when not in the city and breakfasts in P.-K.,
camping stuff.
Domestic flight (if any) airfare, Russian visa, over luggage
extra charge if any, personal expenses, tips and medical
insurance and the heliflight in the valley of geysers
are not included.

"Bears
and Volcanoes"

This exciting program has been successfully running for
9 years and would be called "Wild Russia" classic.
Practically it gives a chance to experience Kamchatka from
all possible angles and by all possible adventure travel activities.
We will see the magnificent Pacific from a top of volcano
after our 4 hours climb. We will raft a remote Middle Avacha
river watching brown bears fishing pink salmon. We will head
to the sacred mt.Bakening our off-road vehicle through a lost
valley, which would remind Jurassic Park. We will enjoy
a swim in the famous Timonovsky Hot Springs, which are in
3 days trek on a horse back from human settlements. And finally
we will enjoy the panorama of the Avacha Bay from a sea boat,
while catching sea fish for our lunch soup - "ukha".
Itinerary:
- Day 1. Arrival to
Yelizovo airport
of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (P.-K.). Transfer to hotel
"Petropavlovsk". Meeting with the guides team. Sightseeing tour around the city.
- Day
2. Prepare for the off road drive to Timonovskiye Springs
at mt. Bakening up-north from P.-K. "URAL" off-road
truck transfer across the Avacha river to the horse ranch
at the Skhatzik brook. Overnight in tents..
- Day
3-4. Continue on horseback to the basecamp at the Timonovskiye
Springs. The "URAL" off-road truck will follow
us and can be used as alternative for members, who are not
very fond of riding horses. One overnight on the way at
the Sarytzin River Meteorology Post. Upon arrival to the
Timonovskiye Springs evening natural hot bath session.
- Day 5. Hiking up and exploring hot springs in the wilderness.
Afternoon walk to the high waterfalls in the mountains.
Overnight at the basecamp.
- Day 6. Drive back to the
Middle Avacha River. Afternoon
rafting exercises and floating down the river through the
wilderness to the horse ranch at Skhatzik. Overnight in tents.
- Day 7. Rafting through the Big Rapid and continue down till
the river Avacha junction. Transfer by the “URAL” back to
Petropavlovsk. Overnight in the "Helios" hot springs
resort in Paratunka.
- Day
8. Optional flight to the Valley of Geysers (3 hours heliflight
program). Afternoon jeep transfer to the Gorely volcano
Base Camp. Overnight in tents.
- Day
9. Guided ascent on the Gorely volcano (1740 m). Return
to the base camp. Transfer to Paratunka Hot Springs Resort.
Overnight in the resort.
- Day 10. Return to the city. Free time. Optional sea boat
excursion around the Avacha Bay. Evening farewell dinner.
- Day 11. Departure.
